IMPACT & PLAY EQUITY
Measuring What Matters
The Score Isn't the Only Measure of Success.
At Dena United, we measure impact by more than goals scored, games won, or trophies earned. We measure success by how many young people have access to the game, how many feel a sense of belonging, how many develop confidence and life skills, and how many discover new possibilities for their future. Our goal is to demonstrate that when financial and geographic barriers are removed, young people thrive.

COMMUNITY IMPACT
"Before Dena United, we couldn't find a program that worked for our budget. My kids now have a team where they truly belong, and they look forward to practice every single week."
— Altadena Parent of 2 players
LEADERSHIP & TRUST
"Soccer is the hook, but mentoring is the real goal. We aren't just teaching drills; we're building leaders who respect themselves, their teammates, and their community."
— Coach Marcus, Pasadena Site
EMOTIONAL GROWTH
"Our games aren't just played on the field. They teach my daughter how to push through mistakes, trust others, and feel incredibly confident about her own capabilities."
— Pasadena Parent
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Changing the Way We Think About Youth Sports
The 2026 California Play Equity Report highlights a statewide challenge: too many young people face barriers to consistent participation in sports and physical activity. Dena United is responding at the neighborhood level. We're proving that a different model is possible:
